You never think about the job market while you’re in college, and you certainly don’t expect to be without a job for four months after you graduated from college either. Well, shows me for not paying attention to the news I guess. I couldn’t get a job in Pittsburg until four months after I graduated from Golden Gate University this past May. I started worrying what to do about a month into the summer, and I tried going to banks and loan agencies around Pittsburg, Antioch, Concord, and Bay Point but none of them could help me because I had no credit after graduation. So after a lot of procrastination and frustration with the banks, I decided on getting an auto title loan to give me enough cash while I waited for work. The money helped pay my bills and take care of expenses while I kept looking for work. It lasted just long enough before I finally got a job here in Pittsburg as an accountant. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the summer, but I did thanks to my title loan.
